plus getting pepsiman in the game would cost sega an arm and a leg in licensing fees I'm sure

e: yeah the ports are pretty barebones but there's only so much they can do with a rom wrapper, good thing the netplay is a+++ solid though

Also, I'm pretty shocked at how crazy barebones these ports are. They're really smooth and accurate, though!

I think that was the idea - do it quick and dirty, sell it for $5, everyone wins!

On my Japanese 360 Picky's skateboard has a Pepsi logo on it, so I wouldn't be shocked if Pepsiman is still in there.

Anyway, I'm impressed with these ports. Weirdly, the VF2 that's playable in the Yakuza 5 demo stutters a good amount, making me think that they would be handling these standalone ports by keeping them at 57hz and having them stutter on the modern 60hz consoles. Thankfully they didn't do that, and the games run perfectly smooth. Except for the Attract modes, which stutter to line up with the music.

Also, these are native 1080p. Very pretty.

If these sell well, I can only hope for fighting vipers 2 and fighters mega mix ports as well. Up the price, IDGAF.

Sonic the Fighters isnt anything special as far as fighting games goes, but damn if it isn't fun playing as Bark and just dominating the bejeezus out of people to come back from 2-0 for the 2-3 victory
