60 FPS versus 30 FPS, mostly. I'm sure there were more differences since the Saturn one was a little more console focused but the framerate was a big deal for me. It's a very fast-paced game!
The Steam game is 60 FPS.
Has anybody actually purchased this? Is it worth the purchase?
Yes, I realize I'm asking this about a $10 game.
Wait for a sale you fools. It'll be $4 in a month or so.

I think this might not be a good version. Buggy. But the comments about it being less responsive than earlier games are what's really keeping me away. I guess I'll hold out for some pro patching.
There's a demo out, and holy crap. This is awful.
It didn't detect my gamepad. Fine. Most crappily-programmed games don't, since my pad isn't a real 360 pad. I use x360ce - which has never failed me before - and it crashes the game. In every possible hook mode.
So I give up and just deal with the keyboard. The default is some insane WASD setup, with KL for grab and throw and space to drop. This isn't acceptable, so I try to remap things to use the arrow keys and ZXC. Guess what? You can't map movement to the arrow keys!
So I give up and just deal with the horrible default controls. And holy shit, there's some weird delay on everything. Tapping doesn't seem to buffer properly, and I end up undershooting where I'm trying to go. But it isn't a problem, because the AI is fucking awful and I have zero difficulty in annihilating it.
Fuck this shit.
Thanks for saving me a few bucks, beevork.
