This Month's Haul: November 2012

Checked out my first flea market, there was one at a bingo hall a few blocks from home. Guy had a table of NES carts at $2 apiece. Castelian is the only regret, concept seems sound but marred with awful design choices.

Based on the demo, I'm kind of siding with the reviewers on this one, but the full game could change my mind.

I think the reviews hit on some points though that sting. Unskippable long as text intro. The drawing and tracing sounds to be a big part of the game, which really sucks. Nothing worse than having to hold a stylus in your hand or on a table to trace some bullshit. Reminds me of Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow to a lesser degree.

I'm still buying the game in hopes that they actually do something interesting with the tracing. Also, Illusion boners of old.

Also picked up Wii U (couldn't get Deluxe cuz of previous expenses -- I'll wait till they're more readily available). Also just picked up NSMB Wii U and Paper Mario: Sticker Star.

Got Sticker Star a few days ago, and I've got a deluxe Wii U on its way to me this week, as well as a review copy of Epic Mickey 2. The demo of that has me wishing for the original being remade on the PS3 since it would have controller support - helping the camera out a lot, and Move controls, which would be far more accurate than the Wii remote ones.
