Nice article, but I notice in the sources there's some K Horowitz guy mentioned a lot, and I dunno, that guy sounds shady to me.

Seriously though, great article. I had no idea bout all that post Dreamcast stuff.

  3. I hear that Horowitz guy got a shitload of Mountain Dew and Doritos for writing this article.

  4. Really great article. It brought back memories of WSB on the Genesis, and I actually liked Prize Fighter for the Sega CD. It was one of the better FMV games on the system. I loved reading about the EA-DC stuff from both sides, and all the stuff about the voice work for Joe Montana II.

I imagine they felt they had to do something in the absence of EA Sports.

  6. I wonder if the Saturn would have done better in America with a better sports game lineup. It's weird how Sega completely dropped the ball there after being the go-to sports console in the 16-bit days.

Quarterback Club and NFL 98 looked like shit next to Gameday and Madden. Plus the Saturn didn't have any real sports games available in the early months aside from shitty golf.

Saturn in general was Sega of Japan taking the reigns back after SoA had become so important with Genesis. It wasn't about sports as much as it was just America vs Japan.
