Authentic Star Wars Episode VII Casting Details Leak Online

Entertainment website Bleeding Cool today posted a leaked casting call for Star Wars Episode VII which includes vague descriptions of several roles that Disney is looking to fill in the movie. Bleeding Cool's Brendon Connelly writes, "We've verified that these are lead characters."

This was circulating earlier today, but we didn't know if it was real or another hoax. So I reached out to Lucasfilm. Company spokesman Miles Perkins has confirmed to me that the listing is genuine. He wrote, "Yes, it is correct."

Here is the casting call from the leaked document:

Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.

Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.

A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.

Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn't need to be particularly fit.

A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.

Forty something male, fit, military type.

Thirtysomething male, intellectual. Apparently doesn’t need to be fit.

Once again, Lucasfilm has confirmed that this casting call is real. That means that casting is now underway. Episode VII will be an original story and probably won't draw any specifics from the EU, so the characters who match these descriptions are still a complete mystery. Stay tuned as TFN brings you the latest Star Wars Episode VII news!
...completely useless. Physical descriptions and a very loose description of personalities, but no details that link to anything specific in-world. About all we can infer from this is that it doesn't involve the Solo children from the books, which is probably for the best.

I'm in the running for the 30 something role.

I am actually relieved for it to be false though, as I think the EU is largely bullshit and don't want it legitimized.
There was some pretty good stuff, a lot of it set in the aftermath to RotJ but I agree with you for the most part. The writers involved really took a lot of shit WAY too far.

Can we get Mark Hamill to voice the villain instead?

  7. My favorite part of the article is the "the budget is huge, so no expense will be spared" to get them in shape line.

  8. Just CG them thin and young like in X-Men.

  9. I guess this is the best place to put this. D23 Expo is going on right now, and at the Parks pavillion a LOT of boxes are showing up saying "Orange Harvest". Speculation is that this is the upcoming Star Wars Land for Disney World and Disney Land.

Rather than stealing all of the pictures, here is the post with the info.
