Anakin had a mom though. He wasn't 3D printed or the like.
If Anakin sprang from nowhere, then she can too. She doesn't have to be anyone's daughter.

Right, but she wasn't anything special. He wasn't descended from the story's main characters because even though there's an entire of universe to draw from, the fans and creators want every fucking plot point to revolve around and be descended from the same dozen characters.
Agreed. I would prefer Rey be from similarly humble origins or at least a different family's less humble ones. That's why I kept using the term "lazy" for the Luke speculation.
What do you mean Anakin didn't come from nowhere? I thought he was immaculately conceived? (by the force or something dumb) That's the very definition of "coming from nowhere".
But yes, I agree it's a disservice to have new characters so tightly tied to existing characters. It says the writers think we're too dumb to understand how a universe of characters could fit in together to form a story bigger than themselves.
Acting.
The link between Kylo Ren's Lightsaber and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Interesting, even if it turns out to be coincidence
An immortal sith emperor that has lived for over 1000 years? Pass.
