I assume he meant that by the time Crysis 3 comes out on Steam with all of the DLC, it'll be cheap like Crysis 2 was after the Origin mess.
I don't think you guys will have to wait that long. There were roughly 1000 people playing this tonight on the PS3. If the online player counts were anything to be believed.
And that's the end of another game series.

I'm asking you like an adult: Can you please stop this? It's all you ever say when people are talking about a console game. Your time is coming, but the world's just not there yet. None of us need convincing that the PC version of most games is significantly better. We get it. But there's still people out there like me who only have a Macbook Air. Can't do much of shit for gaming on that. The Steambox is coming, and is undoubtedly the future. Just let the angst go for a while.
Boo, Hiss.
I started playing this game. Set everything to High (not VH) and locked the FPS to 30 and it doesn't drop lower than that so it's perfect. I think VH even without AA might take things past this card's 1.5GB limit. This game is ridiculously good looking.
I would love to put a serious PC together (like 2 Titans) to get 60 FPS at the VH setting. That would be the best thing ever.
I'm pretty sure 2 GTX 680s would do the trick. I fired it up this afternoon and had the game running @45 fps on high with 2X AF. I only have 1024 MB of graphics memory with my 2 GTX 460s, so I'm pretty sure I maxing that out at those settings. Did you download the latest drivers (314.7) from Nvidia? They're supposed to provide a significant boost in performance for this game.

They weren't kidding about this game being a system melter. I was playing for about an hour, before quitting. My i5-2500k hit 83 degrees celcius (OC to 4.65 Ghz) and task manager showed all 4 cores hitting 100% and staying in the 90+ usage throughout. I might have to back off my overclock.
