Thread: I Made a Game for iOS

JC I've tried the cocos 2d, its pretty cool.

I can send you my work book from my iphone class if you want it. Its pretty straight forward. The hardest thing about it is figuring out if your program doesn't work because the teacher didn't update the lessons for the newest xcode.

I like Cocos2d. I'm using a variant called Kobold 2D, because I like the input management. It's easy to work with. Otherwise, everything else I do is using Cocos straight.

I should be good on books, though, thanks. I've got two Cocos books, a few on Objective-C. And. So far so good. Have you tried doing anything with iOS? You should give it a stab. That way we can have some sort of developer community around here.

That would be ... SO ... awesome. Reviews are one of the most helpful things an app can get, I'm told. This is my first, so I guess I have to take that knowledge second hand.

Rad. If you were to buy it, my indie game takeover of TNL would be complete.

I haven't published anything but I've written 10 or more iphone programs. The last one I was working on was a Christmas list that parents could share and it would update as they found stuff.

That's a cool idea. How did you populate the list? What else have you done?

    mostly boring stuff.

A program that takes in a list of names and coordinates and populates a google map with flags.
A SEC game that jumbles SEC mascots and you have to pick the school that goes with them.
A small pokadex that lets you select Pokemon and see pictures of their evolved forms.
A bunch of boring ones I can't remember

    So the Amazon app?

  10. For those of you who've experienced the magic of Fowl Ball, I'm curious to know what you think of this:

I'm considering having a bracketed tournament for the game. Not sure when it would take place, but relatively soon. Probably after I finish 1.02. I'd post the brackets onto our Facebook page and then I'd take the scores for the week and setup winners at the end of the week. I'd like to add some spice to the game and keep people playing it if at all possible.
