To each his own. I still think that's an insane price point. Any other VR competitor will see this as an opportunity to introduce a lower price point for a comparable product and gain market share (think back to the XBOX 1/PS4 launch). Even my friend with his Oculus was impressed with what HTC is doing. The VR market is very much in its infancy stages and Oculus is obviously trying to get the early adopters and Facebook is trying to get as much return on their $2B investment while there's still buzz about the technology. That's fair, but fuck if I'm going to spend $600 on something that will likely be significantly cheaper in the short-term.
