Saw Olympus tonight. Gotta say I'm kinda surprised. It's a pretty fucking good Die Hard movie. Yes it has retarded plot points but it's not retarded. The action is pretty slick too. Intro theme is basically a reprise of Air Force One's intro, which had me laughing, but the rest of the movie is fairly good. Would watch again. At some point.
Edit: Also I have to mention there is one guy whose only job is to look horrified. At the start its all O_o, but at the end it is sheer Batman D: and it's a howl watching him steal scenes.
Edit 2: OK, I also have to point out the one really retarded plot point: We have to abort the abort! We've gone beyond aborting the nukes. Now we have to abort aborts. Just accept that it's a retarded plot point and move on. I was laughing my head off during the climactic abort scene.
Who didn't understand that blowing up all the nukes in the U.S. would not only wipe out America, but also release far more than enough fallout to cause a global nuclear winter ending all life on earth - the bad guys, or the screenwriter?
Seriously, there's something like 20,000 nukes in the American inventory alone. I love how they got around that by asking "How many nukes?" "ALL OF THEM."
