Funny that you mention Metroid Prime, ARBM. Around mid-November of last year, the tenth anniversary of the damn thing, I started playing my copy which I had actually purchased in MP's month of release in November 2002 but for no good reason had never progressed more than 2-3 hours into the game. I played much more than that and am looking forward to hooking the Gamecube back up to continue through the rest. Thankfully it still holds up very well, great game.
But that's just one item in my long list of gaming shame, which extends beyond the (considerable) backlog.![]()

I realized I left VC2 off my list. There went another 50 hours or whatever.
I wanted to like King's Field but its too damn slow for me. Beyond the Beyond would have been decent if A. the encounter rate wasn't so high B. every random battle didn't require you to smash the damn button to boost your damage.

I remember really liking King's Field near launch. My friend had the system and bought the game on a Friday and we spent a lot of that weekend playing through it. I haven't so much as watched a clip of it in over 10 years and I'm not sure I want to. I really doubt it'll live up to my memories. I still have the phone card that was packed in with the first release of the game, I think my buddy gave it to me after he used it.
