I don't mind Cooper, he seems perfectly fine but I kind of don't get why they didn't just get a cheaper voice actor.
I guess the more celebrity names the more potential draw.
I approve.

Pretty much, yeah.
The character has a lot of potential. Picking a serious actor shows they're know what they're doing.
Rumors have been going around the last month or so that Vin Diesel playing Groot is bullshit and it's actually a smokescreen to hide the face that he's actually cast as Thanos. This is (sorta) backed up by the fact that Disney never issued a press release or any official announcement about Diesel's casting as Groot (as they have with other big-name actors cast in various Marvel films), and the fact that Thanos is supposed to be in the movie but that no one has been officially cast (filming has wrapped, BTW).
Of course, Vin's been busy filming Fast and Furious 7, but if Thanos is a small part in Guardians, I'm sure he could do both. We shall see.
Isn't Thanos supposed to be in Avengers 2, I thought that was coming first?
*edit*
Just looked it up Guardians comes first my mistake.
No reason he can't do both. Not like Groot is going to be a big speaking role.

True, dat.
How come they teased Thanos at the end of Avengers then, that's silly.
