I got it when my 2 friends did on 3ds. Figured if I knew people playing locally then it wouldn't be too stupid of a choice to buy...

I do like the improved framerate, the 3d is pretty nice, and the customizable bottom screen is a nifty touch. Though I still want an xl, this game is legit with the cpp.

I'm also secretly harboring a desire to get a wiiu version and the system just to mess with crossplay. Heaven help me.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that both are exactly the same, gameplay-wise. Identical, even.

The WiiU also has the advantages of online play (beneficial even with strangers at cutting down the time it takes to kill a monster exponentially) and the use of the pro controller.
