Takedown was the one where if you touched traffic you were F'd right? I loved that one.

Yeah, and Revenge made it so that you could (had to) touch some traffic, but other traffic would fuck you. On top of everything else going on on screen (as well as you perpetually racing uphill-that game never let you see too far ahead), it was just sensory overload for me.

All the non-open world Burnouts have specific traffic patterns that get chosen, there's only a couple per stage so once you learn them it's actually pretty easy to drive almost totally blind if you had to.

Yeah, if you just played a little you probably wouldn't pick up on everything, but it can be learned. It's not as random as it initially appears.
