Latest patches have done the trick for me. Running great on ultra. Actually enjoying the game now. Can't wait to see commander mode.

The patch seems to have fixed the problem. I did run into a few moments of lag though, but not enough to totally kill the experience.

I probably don't need to run my GTX 670 with an overclock. The card hit 80c, even with my fans set at 74%, and that was with the game set on the high setting.

Unfortunately, it's going to be a few weeks before I can check it out. I've fried my motherboard this weekend.

has me gun shy about picking up any EA games on PS4 day one. I feel like this could be a case of PC getting caught in the xbone vs ps4 crossfire. I'd love to be wrong, but I don't see any reason to lock a PC game at 30fps outside of another "truckload of money" agreement.
