Thread: What Are You Playing (Spring 2013)?

  1. Finished God of War 1 HD and Mark of the Ninja recently. A few hours into GTA4 Complete Edition (never played it before). I'm finding GTA a lot easier than I used to for some reason. Maybe it's just this one.

Ordered Red Dead Redemption GOTY and Ni No Kuni, so those are next. Went nearly a year and a half of no games and now I can't get enough.

  2. Mass Effect 3, I just got that primarch dude and I am getting sucked in just as I did with ME2.

  3. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (PC) - About 60 hours in, with a few quests done in Klurikon. Decided to put the main QL on hold to take off after Dead Kel. I've used a jack-of-all-trades approach, and probably carry about 18 different weapons now- including about half a dozen greatswords and three sets of chakrams. Forget K&M control for this one. Gamepad wins here.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  4. If NFS:The Run ran like something other than dogshit and handled a little better, this would be a great racing game. Instead, it's maybe the most disappointing game ever.

    assholes gonna ass

edit; oh, it is one of these VSync games ;/ With that off (and the patch), it runs great now

  5. Been mixing it up between "Warframe" and "Hitman Absolution", both on PC. I kind of like the new Hitman so far, but looking at all the good new features (Like the cover system) just makes me wish these would be used in a more fleshed out traditional Hitman game ala Blood Money, I'm looking forward to see what direction they take the series when the next game comes out, I just hope they give newcomers enough of a taste of Hitman, to warrant making the next game a "best of both worlds" kind of deal, and ramp up the difficulty a ton next time. Game looks lovely on max settings on PC too.

Haven't played much of the Warframe beta so far, but I enjoyed the combat, and the controls are amazingly smooth, some of the default key bindings are annoying though, like having the slide move on shift, changed that straight away.

  6. Add me on Steam for Warframe (same name in game and on steam), I need to finish leveling Frost.

  7. Done, and done.

  8. I was bored so I booted up Minecraft and messed around with blocks for a couple of hours. Thought I'd try and make an "old" looking building on a new server, so after a bit of resource gathering and messing around, I came up with this...

Happy enough with it for a rush job.

  9. #39
Resident Evil 6 (PC) - I started this before BioShock Infinite but tabled it. I think I am going to wait until after my Razer Hydra gets here to pick it back up. I want to see if I can recreate the Wii RE4/PS3 RE5 Gold experience with it.

The Secret World (PC) - I put this down to play through BioShock Infinite, which I think is healthy in an MMO and much easier to do when you're not paying a monthly sub fee. What's awesome is that I thought about it while away and now have the itch to go back to it. The game's skills are determined by what weapons you choose, and I am doing an assault rifle / blood magic combination for what is known as leech healing. Basically, you are able to target both an ally and an enemy, and the damage you do to the enemy also heals the ally. This basically gives you four DPS in dungeons, which speeds everything up, while also being a legitimate healer. Combine that with the best theme of any MMO (the opening area has streets named Lovecraft and Belmont!), and it's a buy-to-play winner.

Zen Pinball (PSV) - As I await the actual release of Pinball Arcade on Steam, the handful of tables I have on this are keeping my busy. The one thing I struggle with is goals in the tables that I don't understand. For example, you unlock a challenge in Empire Strikes Back that wants you to get the lightsaber. I have no idea how to do this.

I also need to get back to Sly 4, though we're now in a serious release lull, so I should be able to catch up a bit.

  10. Far Cry 3 (PC): About 80% on progress with all skills learned on Warrior. ATM I'm planning to just finish out the story- most likely not bothering with all the relics or the remaining 6 Rakyat trials.

Brandish: The Dark Revelation (PSP): Trying it with a custom build of PPSSPP this time (this one enables music if you've got SonicStage installed), and it's about as good as playing on the original hardware. So far, no graphic glitches noticed.

Crysis 3 (PC): Playing on Supersoldier and currently at the 3rd chapter.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
