I just saw that Liberace HBO movie Matt Damon is in...it's going to be interesting seeing him in this after watching him fuck Michael Douglas up the ass.
Anyway, this looks so awesome.
I'm on media blackout! Neil rules and this flick looks awesome from what I've already seen. Wanna go in kinda blind for this one.

that was the best kind of trailer, it looked awesome but you had no idea what the hell was going on aside from giving you the reason Damon is trying to break into Elysium.
Just got back from seeing this. Movie of the year so far for me. Some felt the villains were a bit too cartoonish, but I disagree and who fucking cares anyway.
I went in expecting some cool tech and fights.
I left feeling like a dick because I dont want illegal immigrants invading the country.
Whatever happened to subtext?
This movie has an opinion, and for two hours you are beat over the head with it.
Oh, and shakey cam. Lots of shakey cam.
I am going to rewatch District 9 (which compared to this movie kept its message concealed under Davinci Code levels of mystery)and forget this movie exists.
P.S. Matt Damon as mexican hardass ex gang banger was HILARIOUS.
Well I agree it's certainly not subtle.
i just got back from the IMAX show.
Awesome weapons and tech, and great action scenes involving that stuff.
Shaky-cam wrecked a lot of shots. Totally unnecessary.
Also they should have lost all the heavy-handed political elements.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.
Just got back from seeing this and I liked it a lot. Some of the action scenes were ridiculous. Wish I saw this in IMAX. If 3D could be done properly, this would have been perfect for it.
Sharlto Copley did a complete 180 from good to evil between Wikus to Kruger. He's got talent.
This was really good. It didn't blow me onto my ass like District 9 did - it's not THAT good - but it was wasn't a let-down, either. I really dug the tech as well.
As for the message of the film being heavy-handed, I didn't think so...at least, until the very end, when it went into overdrive. But whatever, could have been worse. And I've seen way, waaay worse shaky cam as well...this wasnt that bad in that regard.
Overall, really good movie.
just saw it. i must say really enjoyed it. as for the message, i didn't get the whole border thing at all. i got a have vs have nots message. which really wasnt so heavy handed. they didn't want to get to elysium to live. they just wanted medical care and food/water.
but tech was awesome. the second i saw the exo suit i wanted one. the silhouette it casts is friggin awesome as shit. Kruger was frigging insane. loved it. question though, is every indian person in an american movie named patel? that seems to be the goto name. like every brotha is named leroy.
