I thought Yoshi's Island was universally loved.

There are a handful of people who don't like the overly big levels combined with plodding, fiddly, repetitive gameplay, gimmicky power-ups, and CRYING FOREVER CRYING.

But i fully realize that those people are shunned and whatever. It's okay. It's not Mario World bad.

16-bit platformers are the most boring platformers. Turbo Grafx Thing had a few good ones, but only because Hudson was still trying to catch up.

Why's this got all kinds of foreground and background elements yet they're all flattened onto like 1 layer each? Part of the whole thrust of doing a 2D platformer on the 3DS should be to go nuts with the parallax scrollin'.

Totally agree. Maybe it's really early. They said "winter," so this could be almost a year away.

Also, if Mario, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and fucking Luigi get systems, and this doesn't, I'll hate Nintendo a little more. I will buy a 3DS and a Wii U if they make matching awesomely green Yoshi editions, even if they're Japanese only.
