Maybe "ugly" isn't the word. Maybe it's more "unremarkable." The biggest problem I have is that the actual promo art is GREAT and all of the preceding games look GREAT (except the BROWN in half of Twilight Princess) and this game looks OKAY I GUESS.
It's the best Zelda bar none in all other regards. I guess maybe I'm just sad because it deserved better.

I'm with Compass. There is zero about this game that is ugly. I don't think a top down Zelda game could look any better without being actual 2D. You mother fuckers will cry about anything.

Zero? The Link model is terrible for one. There's plenty about it that is ugly.
Read many reviews not written by fanboys, it's not some out-of-left-field opinion.
As for what can be better, the Phantom Hourglass style but with the 3DS hardware would be far preferable.
I don't see why critiquing a game is "crying."
