  6. Yeah. I was really impressed. Went into the movie blind and want to go back and see it again.

    EDIT: just typed up my thoughts for FB, figure I'll share 'em here too.

    Thor 2 is pretty good. The villain is pretty disappointing (especially for us Whovians who were excited about seeing Christopher Eccleston in the role), just a bland, evil-for-its-own-sake Saturday morning cartoon bad guy. (I think he was cranky over having no moustache to twirl.)

    BUT, apart from that, it was really good. Lots of great twists involving everyone's favorite trickster god. Good action. Asgard felt a lot more like a real place than in the first one. LOTS of comedy, but it never felt out of place. Great Stan cameo, and an even better one from another Marvel actor I won't spoil. Proves Portman + romance + heavily CGI science-fantasy world doesn't NECESSARILY equal terrible. (I mean it's not the best love story ever filmed or anything, but it's a damn sight better than "I hate sand.")
