The lesson was kind of expensive, but included this game.

Mod is pretty easy all you have to do is file away some bits on the inside of the case for space to accommodate the new LCD and solder a single wire for power. The SP+ LCD has this $5 ribbon cable adapter I got from China so it can plug into the existing regular GBA connector.

Is it a backlit SP? I don't know if it's possible with the old SP screens.

  4. I saw that Trials Evo Gold was on sale so I bought it. They mushed together both Trials games, and it's quite a stark difference going from the drab Trials HD warehouses to the awesome wide open outdoors of Trials Evo.

The game looks amazing in 1080p which is all I wanted (I didn't like how the 360 game looked) and the amount of content here is insane, but this port needs some work. There are weird frame rate stutters all over the place and this is a game that absolutely cannot have frame rate stutters. Leaderboard replays also don't seem to work right.

I have no idea which it is. Is there any way to check via serial number or something? It doesn't boot up, so I can't check the screen when it's lit.

Don't worry I'll buy one eventully but for now it's best to wait. Besides I'm totally enjoying my 3DS as it is.
This is how I feel. I really have never felt even the slightest urge to buy a Vita, though Soul Sacrifice looks great. The 3DS is just awesome right now, and I also have a lot of DS games to play, since I never owned one.

Melf: the frontlit and backlit SPs have different model numbers, I think the backlit one is AGS-101 but google could tell you for sure. Also, when off the backlit screen is dark, the frontlit screen is light I think. I don't have any GBAs in front of me to check.

  8. I checked. Mine is AGS-001.

  9. Search your feelings, Young SkyChucker.
