I knew I was only getting one, and it's a pretty clear choice for me.

Is Destiny coming to PC too or just PS4/XB1? That game looked rad and I really liked Bungie's Halo games.

Sony's presentation was poor in comparison but they just sealed the deal - probably for this generation - with their used-game stance and that price. MS fucked up going to $500, their hubris will be their downfall.

(Hopefully that PS4 price isn't a misleading number for some kind of seriously gimped model.)

Given how much cheaper that price is than building a gaming PC, the thought of buying a PS4 instead sometime in the future has now entered my mind. I still think Sony is run by idiot monkeys though and I want to play Titanfall.

But credit to Sony for generating enough value and goodwill, using Microsoft as a foil, to comfortably see them through locking PS4 online play behind a paywall. Excellent calculated move.

Yeah when it comes to games and presentation I do kind of do prefer Microsoft but PS4's price and used games/DRM thing just moved it leagues ahead of Xbox.

PS4 preorder confirmed. And after seeing Destiny (god damn I can't wait), I almost don't even care when Halo is eventually released for Xbox One.

If Destiny comes out on the PC at all, it'll be months after console versions at the earliest.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if Sony's stance creates some kind of breaking point in the upcoming situation.

Either certain big publishers side against Sony for not giving them used-game restriction/lockout (hopefully not), or publishers support Sony no problem and Microsoft is forced to remove their self-imposed restrictions to create a competitive product.
