Thread: Gravity

  1. This movie delivered what Sunshine promised to.
I don't get high very often, but I imagine watching this on something would be quite the fucking experience.
    It was beautiful.
even if Sandra's manly ass wasn't

Also: the only part I thought was way too fucking cheesy and hollywood, turned out okay after all.

  2. I don't really like 3D, but this movie would have been better in 3D. So I might see it again.

It is good but not best ever good

  3. This was great. 3D was great. There were a few gimmicky shots but the tumbling into the stars parts totally made up for it.

  4. Yeah, just saw it in IMAX 3D and the cinematography was amazing.

  5. Also the soundtrack was awesome, I can definitely see future movies crib some of the tracks for trailers and stuff.

  6. I didn't even notice the soundtrack.
    Xbox Live- SamuraiMoogle

  7. I did to a detrimental degree. Probably the single biggest change they could have made to the movie to improve it was remove the soundtrack.

  8. From what I heard they did have some arguments in production over whether to use a soundtrack. I do think it was silly to only include sounds that the characters would be able to hear but then have blaring tension music all the time.

If they release a director's cut with no music I'll be all over that.

  9. I loved it except for the "no atheists in foxholes" scene. First off, it's a pretty well-debunked notion in general (traumatic experiences tend to strengthen your existing worldview, whatever that may be), but more specifically, a person who HAS NEVER PRAYED IN HER LIFE is worried about "who's going to pray for my soul"?! Ridiculous. She'd need to be a lapsed Catholic for that to make sense; I wonder if Cuaron doesn't even realize that that wouldn't be a concern for pretty much any other denomination, let alone (AFAIK) any non-Christian believer, let alone someone with zero religious background.

  10. We know nothing about her parents, previous friends, influences throughout her life, etc. For "that to make sense" you sure are yanking assumptions out of your ass.
