The game is challenging, but not in the OMG I can't control it hard, but in having an actual challenge to it I'm not to proud to admit that so far it's kicking my ass on normal. Like a good action game it's just a matter of mastering how it plays.
The end of operation 001 with the Laambo/Hydra boss fight might be my favorite encounter/moment in video games ever. I kind of mean that.

Donk
Much like any other Platinum game, this thing does so much right. The right atmosphere, the right amount of goofiness, the right style, the right combat and flow (given the crazy premise they started with). And yet...
Just like any other Platinum game, there's just enough jank and weird stuff to make me wanna punch a hole in the wall. Seeing "inside" buildings through the Gamepad sounds neat, but it's implemented poorly. The camera in general is a pain in the ass. Sometimes collision gets all kinds of weird and wonky. And the view can only be changed from way pulled out, to too far in. Wish the zoom wasn't a toggle but something you could dial in.
I'm loving it though! Like every other Platinum game, I'm quite awful at it, sometimes zoning out into moments of combat brilliance. If you guys dig on Bayonetta or Revengence, Wonderful 101 is more or less that. The comparisons to Pikmin are bullshit.
