Thread: The Wonderful 101 (Wii U), directed by Hideki Kamiya

  1. I will be fine with drawing with the right thumb stick. In the demo I don't really have much trouble with Sword, Fist, or Gun, but I don't know how complex the drawing is for Hammer, Bomb or Claw.

I still have zero doubt that I will adore this game.

Isn't it a resistive screen? We could just call it "2008," which might still be kind. Or "virgin" since it can only handle one finger.

  3. You could call it "Yoshi" since it's a nagging problem that pops up every time someone has anything to say about the Wii U.
    Donk

When I played the demo I ended up using the second analog for most of the powers, except the circle to recruit people. Sometimes you have to make a chain or people long enough to reach a rooftop or what have you, and it's possible to start drawing a line on the gamepad that won't quite reach by the time your finger gets to the edge of the screen.

Drawing on the gamepad was a little awkward, but I was having the same issues in the Rayman demo months ago so I figure it's the tablet. I'm not used to having to put pressure on touchscreens when I'm not using a stylus because I don't like in the past I guess.

Works for me. "Yoshi" could be like "Smurf" and "fuck," where it's a noun, verb, adjective, adverb, etc.

In all seriousness, I am amazed that something came out with a resistive screen in 2012. 3DS, sure I get it, but Wii U? Come on Nintendo.

  8. Iwata asks: The Wonderful 101 Development Staff

Insightful read in the development process, check it out.

They mention that there is a special hidden character from another game.
