Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)

So I walked in with my Steph and Lily, and went straight to it. A Nintendo rep was on hand to sell me on the features of the Wii U. I already have one, but let him do his job since it looks like nobody else had been there all day. We started a fresh save and went right to it. I played 3 levels, one as Luigi, Peach and Toad. They play exactly how you'd think they would if you had played Super Mario Bros. 2.

I found a few of the green stars, and one stamp without really trying. I let my daughter (2 and a half years old) play as Cat Mario and she went right for a cliff and fell off. It played a remade Mario 2 death jingle which was neat.

All in all, it played like you'd expect Mario 2 in 3D play. Didn't get to see any other powerups other than Cat, Fire, Mega Mushroom and regular old Super Mario.

The guy told me that the grand prize out of the 21 stores is the Wii U Deluxe set with 4 Wiimotes, NSMBU+LU and SM3DW. Each store was giving away at least one copy of SM3DW, and asked permission for Nintendo to publish any pictures of us playing the game and we would be compensated for it. Lily is freaking adorable so I said sure, since she's a shoe in to get picked.
