Thread: Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)

  1. I have to download a prebeaten game to play as rosalina apparently.
    Check out Mr. Businessman
He bought some wild, wild life
On the way to the stock exchange
He got some wild, wild life

Nah this game comes out on a Friday, but Amazon is shipping it that day, for everything else they have it your door on the day of release.

  3. I will be buying this on Friday then

because Sunday releases are stupid, that is NFL

Sad thing is, that's the way some reviewers and new-hardcore gamers think.

  5. I heard it's not as good as Galaxy. Disappointment imminent

probably actually "Not as good as I remember Galaxy being when I played it in 2007".
    Donk

If I compared every game to Galaxy I'd have to quit gaming altogether.

  7. I heard this game is out in the wild. Well, pictures would lead me to believe that at least.

    What, it's true!

Call of Duty is the new measure of hardcore. How many hours you spend in Skyrim is. How much story is in a game and how Serious Business it is. Since we all know, games have to be Serious Business to be legitimate. That's all the new measure of hardcore to the audience that the market treats as hardcore.

Not how good you are in a shmup or platformer. Not in how fast you can finish a game (which used to mean getting so good at it you could clear one in 20 minutes). Not in any of things we grew up valuing. It's more likely that a new, good, well designed platformer will be castrated as being casual than taken seriously. Unless it's a masochist platformer like Super Meat Boy. In which case, it's not seen as hardcore, but a niche title that the core plays for a week, say they like it because the press does, then moves on.

Mario 3D World has speed run levels , your argument is invalidated.
