Not to beat a dead horse, but I haven't heard anyone say (about this game), "Man you know what I am tired of? Not blowing into the controller or touching the screen, I need a break from this"

It's there to supplement the core gameplay, not replace it. And it's a fun piece of supplementary gameplay that if it was there in excess, would be annoying, but it isn't. It enhances things in a way that I have found to be very fun.

Okay, when I got to Star World, I was a bit bummed. It looked like the stage layouts were gonna be brutal in a way that showed how 2D difficulty in a 3D space just doesn't work well. However it seems only a level or two do this, while the rest are pretty challenging from a perspective of building off of all the concepts the game has taught you so far. More of a fair challenge than a frustrating one.

So I get to the end and figure that that's that right? Usually Mario games have a bonus world (if any) and with 3D Land, the game made it clear that once you hit World 8 you were only half way done.

"A new bonus world has been added!" chimes 3D World...after beating the bonus world. And it's...remixes of stages from the first world. Harder enemies right away, new star placements, new hazards and challenges (first stage gives you a 30 second timer!)

If this thing is what I think it is, that means I'm in for 8 worlds of the tougher 'real' gameplay. If that's true, I take back every bad thing I said about this game.

Around world 6 or so I stopped my whole "100% before moving on to the next world" thing, because fuck it, I wanted to keep seeing the new shit it was throwing at me. I think I'll get through all the stuff Hero talked about then after go back and clean everything up whenever I get the itch to play again.
