I preordered this at best buy partially for the $10 gas card. I've been denied at 3 gas stations now.

Just use it at Best Buy. The gas card thing is just a marketing angle, you can use it for anything.

Don't gas stations usually put a $50 hold on your card before authorizing, then replace that charge with whatever you paid?

The easiest thing to do (if you don't mind amazon) is to buy a 10 amazon gift card and redeem it on your own account.

PS I tried this on iTunes, and it failed- apparently iTunes does a $1 pre-auth and it kept screwing up the main balance. So don't do that.

Snagged this today and played for a couple hours. I haven't been so impressed by the visuals of a Nintendo game since the GameCube days. The gameplay feels like a polished version of MK7, which is to say it's way better than MK DS, Wii, and Double Dash. Haven't tried online play yet.

MK DS is by far the best MK. MK7 sucked and this new one isn't much better. The blue shell/lightning/rape is at an all time high in this one and it ruins all of the fun. It sure is a pretty game though.

I don't remember MK DS not having abundant rape, and at least you can finally avoid a blue shell with a mushroom or horn in MK8. Aside from the original MK they're all rapey.
