  1. Thankfully, Rollergames is there to even things out.

  2. Finally.

Virtual On is also on PC, PS2 (M2 Sega Ages port), 360, and PS3. And the Saturn version is bad compared to the PC port, which is bad compared to the PS2 and current-gen ports. Scorcher was apparently also on PC, but I don't think it's a very good game...
    I was thinking console exclusive.

I always wanted to try the japanese version of Bayou Billy, it's actually supposed to be fun.

That's one of the few Konami games I don't have yet.

Fully agree with you. Bloodlines has always felt like a step backwards. Like it was done by the second string team instead of the 1st string who was working on X.

It has a lot of recycled sound effects from other Konami games around the time, too.

I was surprised by how most enemies have been re-imagined. The merpeople look awesome.

I'm not sure where I'd put the NES ones, but it would be near the bottom of that list.
The original game still stands taller for me than most games in the series. Japanese 3 is much much better design than most of the 16 bit installments.

  9. Don't forget the brutal arcade game. I'm pretty sure that's 16-bit.

Densetsu is the one I haven't played through recently. That's why I was holding off ranking the 8-bit ones.
