I don't give a shit who plays who in these dumb movies.
But I've been far more impressed with Affleck's work behind the camera as opposed to when he's in front of it.

Am I the only person who thinks serious The Town / Argo Ben Afflick can pull this off so long as he doesn't have the Boston accent? He's a great actor and having directed the way he has it seems like when it really matters he knows how to get the best out of himself. If this has a good script and Nolan heavily involved I don't see how we could possibly have a repeat of Daredevil. No one could have saved that movie.

I don't have any issue with Affleck as Batman. I think it can be good as long as he bulks up a bit and brings his A game. Dude is a solid actor, and could pull this off.

He is a very sold actor and a great choice really. Any actor can be the guy in the Bat suit. Affleck will do gritty Batman just fine, but he will truly shine as Wayne.

I dunno...solid actor and good director. Whatever really. Bale wasn't all that amazing as Batman. I could barely understand half the words that came outta his mouth as Batman. I remember people going nuts when Ledger was picked as Joker and he turned out great. Lets wait and see. I assume Cavill is still Superman.

But I don't think Ben Affleck is a bad actor, that movie's writer/director is the same guy responsible for Ghost Rider and Elektra. The problem there seems to be a pretty clear.

Just offhand I think he'll make a great Batman in contrast to the very straight-laced Superman, as seems to me like Affleck was picked because he can play a more impudent character very well. I though Bale did a fine job of Batman by himself, but if he got paired up with Superman it would've been a really boring dynamic.

You do realize that this is part of the reboot of the Batman franchise. The rumor has been that who ever plays Batman in this will be playing him in the next Batman solo movies.

Now that you mention it, yes and ugh. Although putting Superman ahead of Batman shows where all this shit is heading anyway, which is the bigger ugh.

I was discussing this with a friend today. Who did a "good job" on their superhero? Outside of RDJ, I couldn't think of anyone that really nailed the superhero they were going for. (In before adam west).
