I think superman is a great hero. All star superman was great as well. I had stumbled across something once which said the polar opposite of Bill's speech at the end of kill bill that I quite liked.
He said that superman is the facade and Clark Kent is the real person. That he isn't perfect, that he does have problems, but when you have that much power, the only way to assure the public is to be a total Boy Scout. It's a tiring persona he has to put on to not frighten the public. In reality, he was raised as Clark Kent, he grew up as Clark Kent, and that is the person and personality he really has.
