Thread: Online video game pricing guide?

  1. Online video game pricing guide?

I'm a bit short of cash right now, and I need to pay for some car repairs, so I'm in the process of selling some of my games. I just put my copy of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo up on ebay, and I gave it a buy-it-now price of $80 (mostly because I just saw one go for $91). I'm not sure if it's too high or too low. I have a few more games I wish to sell, but I'm wondering if there's a place online I can go to that lists the average current-market value of video games. That would help greatly in pricing my wares.

  2. Its funny you should bring this up because this is actually a feature I am going to be implementing in my site. I will try to set up some way of approximating a game's value the same way comic book and baseball card magazines too.

PS: Puzzle Fighter for PSX is worth about 75 dollars in great condition. But thats my opinion...

  3. Also, Buy it now prices shouldn't be what you are expecting to get, they should be a bit higher so that the impulse buyer will buy it regardless. Set the reserve price at the least you'll take, the buy it now price high, and the starting bid fairly low. Thats the way to clean up on ebay.

  4. Heh, my auction was up for no more than 5 minutes, when someone bought my game. I probably could've gotten more for it. The new copies were fetching well over $100. I'll take your advice into consideration in the future. Next up will be my Saturn copy of Donpachi.

What's the URL for your site, by the way?
