So anyone playing this? I'm really digging a lot of the change made to the new arena multiplayer, it actually feels fresh and fun, and they brought back the concept of map/weapon control. Thank fucking god!

Fortunately so far the new abilities do a lot to make the gameplay feel more dynamic and strategic. Overall I have found the thruster pack to be the most used/useful. I haven't quite found a good use for the ground pound and can't imagine it'll be used very frequently. The shoulder charge is only effective in situations where you're not prepared for someone around a corner and you happen to be sprinting. The slide is, well, a slide and a welcome addition (though this does feel insanely similar to Destiny, which I don't mind). The one I'm confused about is the 'smart scope', as I still don't know exactly how to use it in a way to give myself a competitive advantage in a fight. It is pretty fun to use your smart scope mid air and headshot someone while floating (note: I mean more for guns without an actual scope like the Magnum or AR), but that doesn't seem practical. Plus the 2 new weapons I've tried, the SMG + Hydra Launcher are a really fun to use. 343, good work thus far!

edit: The other mechanic I REALLY like is how your shield doesn't recharge when sprinting. It's going to create some situations you really need to think about when you use specific abilities if you are playing game modes like Breakout where it's Counter Strike/Gears style 1 kill elimination.

I haven't gotten the MCC so I don't have beta access. Is there another way to get it?

I don't believe so, I think that's the only entry right now. But it goes to the 18th so there very well may be other ways to get in. Unfortunately you need the disc as well to start up the beta and play.
