It was between him and the Diet Coke addicted Alfred Pennyworth, and Jackman cleared that a while ago.
Yeah, and Jackman's already talking about the next Wolverine solo movie, so it doesn't look like the run is ending any time soon.

The first 2/3rds of The Wolverine was actually good, I thought. I really enjoyed how they dialed back his healing factor and made him more vulnerable...I was really hoping they'd make that permanent, but sadly, they didn't. But once they got to the secret base and we met robo-samurai old dude and all the bullshit that went with it, the movie just turned to crap. It was a shame.

I wanted to see more along the lines of him with just the radio. In fact, I think the him alone in the forest had the most interesting character depth than anyone in the entire x-men series.
But that ending was SO SO SO BAD. I still stand by the need for a decent director.

Everything about The Wolverine was very good, except the writing (and the music). Even ignoring the grade-school fanfiction they called the 3rd act, the story (while refreshingly minimal and character-focused), was flat and predictable. I thought the acting and especially cinematography (that was a great-looking movie, rivaling Skyfall) was a step above most superhero movies.
I still wish the "20th Century Fox Mutant Saga" would just start over from scratch, but thankfully, Jackman is a good actor that can carry a tired movie series.
