That's when the camera's in a building because you're standing close to a wall. The wall becomes translucent blue with a circle in the middle.
What is up with the blue film that comes up every once in a while? A perfectly circular area in the center of the screen will be just fine, everything else has a translucent blue covering it. It's almost as if the game's trying to tell you someone is watching you.
Is this intentional? Part of the story? Some odd glitch?

HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
My Backloggery
I just found an interesting glitch. I was falling to my death beneath Pianta Village when I first pressed L to butt-stomp then R to hover. I managed to do both at once and fell through the "death trigger" intact. I landed on a wide sky blue floor (with invisible walls at the horizontal edges of the level) far below the bottom of the village. Odd.
I missed a jump on the pirate ships and so I tried to use the jetpack to compensate, but it didn't work. Water came out, and I was definitely in jetpack mode because two streams of water were shooting down, but I just kept falling as if the jetpack wasn't active.
I've also now fallen through angled floors countless times. This is by far the glitchiest Nintendo made game I've ever played.
Aside from my little problem with the last boss, I haven't fallen through the floor once yet. *shrugs*Originally posted by burgundy
I have yet to fall through an angled floor.
Try the port level (ships and cranes), go up into the tower and do that secret level with all the rotating blocks. Just stand there and let the block rotate, when it starts to get pretty steep try to walk up it, you'll fall right through it. Sometimes you land on the inside of the polygon, and you can then jump back up.
This is where I fell through the floors the most.
Sunshine pisses me off. Fortunately, those GCN controllers are sturdy as hell, and can stand my wrath.
Getting Yoshi to jump from boat-to-boat and onto that little island is a pain-in-teh ass as it is. That fucking lily-pad stream stage it leads up to sucks more than any game-task ever!
It took me about 30 min. to get the fuckin' shine!
Now how the fuck am I supposed to get the shine on top of the ferris wheel after I get rid of the electric Koopas?

All I did was a back flip towards the wall and then a wall jump towards the top of one of the ferris wheel pods, I used the hovering mechanism to land perfectly on top. Once the wheel gets to the top you can jump to claim your prize.
