p.s. I'm only side-stepping your GWTW recommendation because I've never seen that version myself. Then again, I've never sat down and watched the movie straight through, but I have seen almost all of it as that was one of my grandfather's two favorite movies alongside My Fair Lady. I suppose I should rectify both of those things.

Yeah, there's no way I'm getting out of bed to Turn To Side B. Never did find out what happened to those Good Fellas. I suspect they remained friends, but drifted apart over the years before reuniting in old age for one last Las Vegas romp.
I suggest watching it through, even though you know whats up! It is truly a brilliant movie, and although some brush it off as being "for chicks" or whatever, it really hits hard. I think I've seen it upwards of 20 times and I cry every single fucking time although I know what's going to happen. My Fair Lady doesn't fare as well with me personally, it's quaint and definitely worth watching but not one of my favorites.
Throw up some blurays on your list, they're pretty cheap.
