Wait... what? Shou makes a good marketing guy with his hooks. What time and what channel!?!

I just got this beautiful CMVS in a trade:

The pictures don't really show just how tiny this thing is, the whole system is about the size of a home cart case. It was built by James at Jamma Nation X, the finishing on this looks amazing, almost like it was factory built.

  3. What did you trade for it?

I traded that S-video modded home cart system I had in my sale thread a few months back, a free Unibios installation onto that system, and home carts of Alpha Mission 2, Ghost Pilots, and Football Frenzy. I kinda hate those games.

I think the more interesting story for you is how I will unearth Ninja Gaiden 2 on Neo Geo.
Oh you're fucking funny. I'm curious tho with the way you were talking about Netmerc and the whole VR thing, How do you feel about what Sega's intentions were with the Sega Scope 3-D?

I've tried ever so hard to love that game. I mean, I <3 <3 <3 the 194X games and Sky Shark. So Ghost Pilots should be a no brainer! BUT NO. I HATE IT AND I HATE WHOEVER LIKES IT.

I got it brand new when those NOS carts flooded the market a few years ago. I literally fell asleep playing it. Same with Alpha Mission II.

  8. Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection (thanks Amazon Lightning Deals!)
Aliens Volume 2 TPB (I've got the fancy limited Hardcover somewhere, but I wanted a reading copy)
Alien Warrior Revoltech figure (delivered on the slow boat from Japan)

aaaaannnd that's it for me this year as non-gift stuff, I think!

Ninja Ryukenden 2 on Neo Geo MVS was location tested in Japan around the summer of '94 during the height of the fighter boom so it performed poorly. Feedback cited that it was also too difficult. The game style is like the original arcade title with 3 selectable characters. I had drinks with someone who worked at Tecmo during this time, once drunk, it was revealed to me that they have the data backed up on a PC-98 somewhere and that I should be able to get access to it in the future.

I've been able to acquire other rare stuff like this Fighting Vipers 2 version, only 1 exists in the world, and would make Zero-chan cry to know that I have it & saved it for posterity.

Sega was always thinking way too ahead of its time with 3D and networking. I just had to buy a new set of glasses because of the interface card port breaking. Never leave the glasses plugged in, it breaks the incredibly shoddy jack...
