I somehow made it to the end of 2013 with a 500w PSU from 7 years ago. Tried playing SRIV last night and it kept full on rebooting my computer, did a little research and saw that it might be my PSU. So now I have a 750w PSU and it was the most boring use of a christmas gift card EVER.

- Heavenly Sword, PS3 ($6 used. I've never played it, so I was curious to see what it was like. Can't go wrong for the price)
- Pac-Attack, Genesis ($10 complete)

I also got Zany Golf for the Genesis, complete and in great condition, for $11 shipped because the seller thought it was broken. The game only works on pre-TMSS Genesis consoles, or with a Game Genie on other models, because it was released before EA got a license from Sega to be a 3rd party. ZG usually goes for a bit more in that condition, so I'm happy to find one so cheap.

I splurged on a 700w like eight years ago where half the connectors didn't even apply to anything I own. It's gone through three generations of video cards and always supported everything despite me having swapped out every single original connection type I was using. I have a feeling it might be on its slow way out due to some very occasional errors I've gotten in the past year that don't seem to be stemming from anywhere in particular, but good PSUs are pretty fucking awesome. And yeah, also boring.
