  1. The final death of physical media for anything but AAA games will hit in the next year or so.

I heard Japan's up to Dusty Old Cunts in Beat Sedans 7.

Seriously though, I'd like to see split-screen multiplayer become a fairly standard inclusion again. It's a non-issue for us adults most of the time, but being asked to pick out a game to play locally and pawing through heaps of players: 1 before finding a rare outlier kinda makes me feel for the kids today. In particular, I believe its exile has really constricted the market for arcadey driving games. That genre was hugely buoyed by being the inoffensive-but-still-cool thing for parents to get their kids playing together. Now that's all the territory of Lego shit and Skylanders. If this gen hadn't constantly taught parents that local multiplayer is the exception rather than the rule for driving games, they (vis-à-vis we) would all be enjoying rad new installments of Burnout and Split/Second and whatnot.

Sonic Racing is a good split screen racing game (my 4 yr old plays me in it all the time). Lego Batman 2 and Lego Marvel are both great split screen games we play. I am with you in hoping they expand on quality splitscreen multiplayer games moving forward.

Funny you mention splitscreen co-op - the Wii U version of Marvel Heroes has two screen co-op: one on gamepad and one on screen. Was great playing it with the niece over Thanksgiving - she thought getting a whole screen to herself was cool.

I wonder how long before microtransactions take off in porn games. Pay 99 cents and slap them tits

  9. I believe that's MFC.

  10. I pretty much only play games with local co-op. I know that makes me really old compared to online play, but it never really jived for me.
