Snowman was funny.
you...like the stupid little snow man? But hated the movie?
The songs were all too talk singy and the lyrics were fucking terrible in most of them. The storyline could have been cleaned up a lot.
At least the snowman was consistent and charming.
Did you hear it was a musical?
I thought it was quite good, we caught it this AM. Great snow effects, I'm glad they're not writing the solution to the plot as 'kissed by prince' anymore.
I was not clear on the snow powers thing; did was the King/Queen cursed and passed it down? Or was the princess just ice-powered for no reason?
It was like a clinic on 'how to fuck up your kid's head'.
I think she was cursed from birth or something like that.
She's effectively a mutant - born with the powers and why isn't important. Way I look at it, it wasn't a gift or curse until the king decided which it had to be. One thing that's very telling is in that first scene, her power doesn't appear to "leak" as it does later - that doesn't happen until she starts worrying about it.
It wasn't clear what with the troll actually asking about it and the snow trail on the way to visit said trolls. If the power wasn't leaking, what's up with that?
Luckily they killed off the parents before there was any time to get into it!

Just saw this. It was good. I would probably think higher of it if I was in the mood to watch it and had eaten breakfast, but I spent most of the time wishing I was playing a game and eating real food. The stuff I did pay attention to was quality, in any case.
At the end when the queen or whomever said, "Are you ready?" I responded with, "I can't hear you!" and a little kid in front of me said, "Aye aye, Captain!" and I was super proud.
I liked this too. There were some things that didn't appeal to me as a 32-year old male, but there were a surprising amount of things that did. BEST DISNEY MOVIE SINCE WRECK IT RALPH, but before that since Emperor's New Groove
