Do ps1 games look like the rotten butthole that I'd imagine they would on a ps3?
Is the DS version better than the PSone Classics one, since playing that one digitally theoretically removes the load times?

There's no way in hell I'm paying the going rate for the DS version, so what's the second best way?
Illegally.
Anyone know if the iOS version is any good? That's the only realistic option that comes to mind.

Yoshi: I was playing on Wii VC. It's pretty much perfect if you have a display that the Wii doesn't look like ass on. I don't know if loading from a hard drive/memory card would help the PSN version, but the original PS1 release was unoptimized garbage.
Also, I played the DS version back when it was released and it was perfect. If you can find a decent copy without paying too much that may be the way to go. I had no idea the price spiked on it, it used to be a common $15 game.
Is there anything wrong with the PS1 version, aside from the load times? Playing it on the Vita is attractive, because I don't think I'd ever finish it on a console these days. I'll look into whether the load times were fixed when it went digital.
