  1. Magic: The Gathering

Fox has secured the movie rights. I'll be kind of surprised if anything comes of it, but there you go.

Direct to DVD CG PG-13 movie.

  3. Probably. I'm sure their intent with this purchase is for it to be their LotR, but I just don't see that panning out. Last time they tried we got Eragon.

  4. I seem to recall during Alpha/Beta that Garfield had this intricate story behind Dominia and how Urza/Mishra had some kind of war. I wonder whether that's what they'll start with.

  5. I started playing M:TG again a few months ago. I'm surprised at just how much more story WotC has introduced into the game. The sets are much more character and creature-focused now. There's even a new type of card, the Planeswalker, that makes the game much more character-focused. So this move actually makes sense.

  6. Yeah - I read the comments of the linked article and a lot of people think a first movie would be centered around Jace.

I started playing again in the past year, as well. Kinda wish I'd held onto my cards instead of selling them back in '98. My Lotus, alone, would be a couple thousand.

It's best not to think about that sort of thing. I'll tell you all about my Harmony Stratotone sometime.

  8. I had Moxes and Lotuses all over the place.

    Sold it all for drugs.
    Boo, Hiss.

  9. I play friday night magic at a local shop erry week.
