They got the animation of the old TV specials down, but I don't like that flocked look at all.
It's by Blue Sky Studios (not the guys who did Vectorman) and I must say that I actually like how Snoopy and Charlie Brown look in CG. I grew up with the Peanuts and still watch every holiday special with my kids, so I'm very happy to see them finally get a feature film.

It looks nice, but I highly doubt they'll nail the tone. No way a major studio is going to put out a kids' movie in 2014 that wears its writer's untreated clinical depression on its sleeve.

Though I agree the only way this would be legit is two hours of Chuck on a darkened stage swilling bourbon and spouting off.
