The developer matters more than the series. It took me too long to figure that out, but once you do, it's a whole new world.
I have been playing the trial and I like it so far! The trial lets you play a little of the story and it feels like its own game and not just an expansion. After the trial of the story ended, I wanted to keep playing.
Tried a few more of the game modes and I think I'd keep playing them besides the usual Conquest stuff.
Blood money- there's a huge stash of money in the middle of the map that both teams have to steal from and take back to their teams vault. The kicker is you can steal the money out of the other teams vault!
One other game mode only gives you one life and you either have to rescue or defend hostages.

Thanks for sharing that. Damn I hope reviews hit this weekend, but I'm doubting it at this point.
I've actually had a lot of fun with this. It's Battlefield but not. Had a good time playing Hardline with the bro cruising around in the death truck. Sabotage is also an amazing item to have to plant on various vehicles.
I wish I could of played more of the story. It's at least trying to be a little different with the whole cop thing. You can hold guys up by flashing your badge and there's some stealth stuff with Metal Gearish vision cones.

I wound up pulling the trigger on this at the last minute. I checked the balance of a gift card leftover from Christmas, and it had ~$40 on it, so my total with tax is $10.70, and I get a $10 reward cert. That's pretty tough to beat, especially when there isn't a lot coming to retail this year that I care about.
I have $40 in origin credit. Can I use that to buy the game on PSN for the PS4?
I started preloading the X1 version 2 hours ago. I'm at 26% right now![]()
You might be able to get a physical copy through EA's store with it.
Unfortunately, the campaign does not sound spectacular through the eyes of either Eurogamer or PCGamer. It almost sounds as though you can make it respectable by playing on hard and forcing yourself to not treat it like the wild west, but the fact that the player has to put in effort to correct the design flaws is unfortunate.

The initial impressions from RPS are interesting. It sounds as though the single player is a rarity in that it's a AAA game that tried to bite off more than it could chew in the name of evolving a genre. You can tell by the fact that I keep posting other people's impressions that I haven't yet picked up my copy. I'm still not 100% sure I won't stroll into Best Buy to cancel it.
