Fundamentally, isn't the "Racism = Prejudice + Power" argument counter productive? By saying if 'whites' make stereotypical jokes or appropriate the culture of 'blacks' it's racist and wrong, but if 'blacks' do, it's accepted, do you not create a parent-child relationship between races? Not only does it reinforce racism (as defined by taking race as the most significant factor in any circumstance) but it reinforces white supremacy by stating one needs protecting and not the other.

It isnn't even worth that level of thought.

Prejudice + Power is SYSTEMIC racism. Acting like racism must have power is confusing and intellectually dishonest. It is insulting to those that came before and their struggles. And if I was to be pessimistic, I would argue that it is really propaganda being used by today's youth to gain power and demonize their enemies while protecting themselves from reproach.

And as has been said, it really just makes things worse, because people are only so stupid and will ultimately brush off all claims of racism as wolf crying. Meh. Black in black is only about 7% higher than white on white. People just tend to kill people they know. Interracial is about 8 to 13 %

The only thing that really stands out is that black people make up 1/5 the population but kill as much or 1/5 more than whites. But I'd argue it was lead water pipes and poverty. Not magic black people dna.
