"Please buy this garbage in the hopes that we will release something that isn't garbage."
No. Fuck you.
Hur hur let's gauge interest in a product with a product that is hugely different from our core offerings.
"Please buy this garbage in the hopes that we will release something that isn't garbage."
No. Fuck you.
I actually was planning to buy this game. Now that Square is pulling that bullshit? Not so sure.
"Please buy this garbage that only appeals to people with brain damage, in the hopes that we release garbage that appeals to people with brain damage of an entirely different kind."
I deserve to have my brain damage catered to.
It has been for the past two days in that other frickin' thread.
Now that's the kind of response I was expecting you to post in respect of these games in the first place.
Honestly, though. What kind of games are even in question about it being contingent on DQ Heroes's US sales? 7 3DS is coming. 10 won't ever come out no matter how well it sells. 11, given the assumption that it will be a traditional offline console game, should be a given considering that the process of localizing it won't be any different than any other game of the last 30 years. That DQ Builders game which was just announced may or may not necessarily come out, but I don't foresee it being a tremendous loss if it remains only in Japan. What else is there? Anything other than portable shit that I don't recall offhand right now?
The PR line is indeed very stupid on the principle that games shouldn't be held hostage - release them or don't. But I don't see a lot being at stake.
