Thread: 2014 NFL Thread of Illegal Contact, Political Correctness, and PEDs cut with Molly

  1. All joking aside, it's fun looking at the first page of this thread, when people made their season predictions. Saints stock was woefully overvalued (with the opposite being true of the Cowboys).

  2. There was a three or four year stretch when I picked the Cowboys every year to win that division. I don't think they earned any benefit of the doubt.

  3. Same thing happened to Arizona, and then people jumped off and they went to the Bowl

Friend of mine is a Cowboys fan and we both joked at how terrible they'd be because of their defense. Yup, we were wrong.

Celebrity sighting: Brian Billick was on my flight back from CA yesterday.

  5. Now that Haslett is gone, I wonder if the Skins will make a push to sign Rex Ryan as their next defensive coordinator.

Why the hell would a good head coach who will probably find a new job in 4 seconds go work as a coordinator for the worst owner in pro football.

  8. Maybe if the Saints fire Rob Ryan, the Skins can pick him up. Ryan has had enough arguments on the sideline with Payton, to make me believe that their relationship is heading south fast.

Because $$$. That and the Redskins need a DC well versed in the 3-4 scheme. Sexy Rexy fits the bill and I don't think any team will give him another HC job. But hey, I can dream, can't I?

Even if they do, I don't think he'd be an upgrade over Haslett. The Saints defense wasn't exactly lighting it up under Rob Ryan.

I think that many teams will and should give him another head coach job. He's a very good head coach. Remember he went to two AFC title games with Mark Sanchez.
