Holy shit, the opinions of IP, Yoshi and Joust have just converged.
Try to imagine all fun as you know it stopping instantaneously and every thread on TNL worth reading exploding at the speed of light.

They save time and money by developing for lower-end systems, and if that's handhelds then that's how it goes. Xenosaga was basically between the choice of ending up on the lower-end Wii or not getting made (or on a much smaller scale), so that's what we got.
But still, there's a bunch of Atelier games, Ar games, Tales of games, Agarest games, Neptunia games, and other assorted Gust/Tri-Ace/Squenix/Level 5 games on the PS3. There's about 50 JRPGs on the system, it's not hurting that bad for the genre.
Those too.
Also: I said Xenosaga. I'm pro.
This is all in their heads. People are buying Ds ports of final fantasy and shit made with rpgmaker on steam. You stupid Shits are buying snes and gen jrpgs you already own on steam and wii vc.
The myth of the 32 bit Era that people will not buy traditional looking jrpgs on the home consoles is just thst, a myth, and it should die.
