Thread: Episode VI: Return of the JRPG

  1. I spend very little not sleeping time at my house.
The Vita's screen and system footprint is about perfect.
While I wouldn't want to play all my TPA or Racing games on it, I love playing RPGs on it.

  2. I like holding the screen in front of me and I like being able to open the 3DS or touch a button on the Vita, even if it's only a little less than shaking a mouse or picking up a controller. I like everything in one place and i like being able to take it with me.

I love the idea of a self-contained system with a beautiful little screen with no input lag that I hold in my hands and can play on the couch, in bed, on the toilet, on airplanes and buses and trains and wherever else I go.

    They're fantastic.

  4. I like portables because playing them is easier to rationalize. If I play videogames on the TV in the living room for two hours at night, I've wasted my night. But if play 3DS for two hours in bed, that's just getting ready for bed; that's not playing videogames for real.

That's some female logic right there, a kin to "I saved $50 by buying this $200 item I didn't need but was on sale."

  6. I like portables because it confounds TNL's tired gimmick posters.

  7. I don't know, I was being serious. Preferring the type of games is fine even though I talk about that, but I just don't know about the rest. I got over the "I wish I could play EVERYTHING on a handheld" phase a decade ago. But I see this sentiment a lot on other message boards.

You know, you could just play whatever you want and not try to justify your tastes because fuck everyone else.

  9. Hey, IP brought it up

Do you have to have taste before you try to justify it?
